Tabernacle's Formation Classes are the first step towards becoming a Partner on Mission at TCC.
We've chosen to use the language of "Partner on Mission" rather than "member," because we believe that the Church joins the mission of God already taking place in the world through the sending of his Son and the working of his Spirit to transform old creation into new creation. Church is not about membership in a society but about joining a local kingdom outfit and giving all of what makes you to that mission, most of which takes place outside the four walls of the church's building.
To prepare for this partnership, we ask that all prospective partners attend a class on each of Tabernacle’s four formation areas or formative practices. At the end of each of these classes, you will have the opportunity to make a commitment to a formative practice using a tool known as the Rule of Life. While this can look or sound intimidating, all that a Rule of Life means is just a simple structure to help guide our formation into the likeness of Jesus.
We encourage you to listen with open hearts and dialogue earnestly in these classes to see how God may be calling you to partner with the work here at Tabernacle. We are so excited to take this journey with you.
